15 weirdest aphrodisiacs in sex history

The craving for sex is one of the basic human instincts. During the development of civilization, sexual activity was revered as a sign of strength, health and youth. With age (or due to stress), the enthusiasm can fall, so men and women use all kinds of stimulants of desire. We decided to study the outlandish aphrodisiacs of our ancestors.

Warning : if you are eating now, it is better to scroll directly to item 11.

1. Honey man (sugared mummy)

Let’s start our top with a miracle cure that amazed me more than anything. Get ready to faint. Historical documents say that on the territory of Arabia, the most useful remedy for all ailments (including sexual weakness) was considered a human mummy, which should have been consumed inside. At the same time, the preparation of this mummy required considerable expenses: both financial and time. Forcing a person to give their bodies for the health of others was strictly forbidden.

A volunteer was to eat honey alone for weeks until it started to flowin every sense of the word. That is, until his feces become honey. When the “delicacy” dropped the skates, his body was placed in a special container with honey and marinated there for 100 years! And only a century later, the mummy was removed and sold for fabulous money in the bazaars. At first, such knowledge shocked me, but as soon as I remembered the organ transplanted to me, I wanted to shake the candied hand of those ancient volunteers who gave themselves for the benefit of medicine (albeit wild one). I will even put a photo with honey for you, so as not to frighten you with the mummy.

2. Eggs balut

The Filipino delicacy balut is still revered by many as a remedy for male impotence. However, the Europeans did not like such a delicacy and even tried to ban balut . The fact is that this is a duck egg, inside of which a chick is almost fully formed. It doesn’t look very appetizing.

3. Fugu

Fugu is made from puffer fish, considered one of the most dangerous delicacies in the world because they contain deadly poison. So that the gourmet does not get poisoned, only the most experienced chef cuts the fish. In this case, different knives are used so that the poison does not fall on safe pieces. The Japanese believe that fugu significantly increases male potency. Viagra is much cheaper though.

4. Tiger penis

Although in Asia they respect the tiger, this did not stop the ancient Asians from eating the genitals of this strong beast in order to obtain potency. Poor little animal, there are very few tigers left. Better to get a sex toy for orgasm than like this with striped whales …

5. Bovine testes

Well, have you laughed at the foreign savages? Now the turn will come to our native ancestors – the Slavs. Many peoples have legends that certain organs of specific animals should be eaten in order to gain the strength of the beast. So the lion’s heart supposedly endowed with courage and strength. As for male strength, the Slavs had a custom to eat the testes of a bull. I mean the testicles. Supposedly from this you can become an inseminating bull. By the way, do not rush to fuck. Masterfully cooked bovine testes with spices are an extraordinarily delicious dish.

6. Bear blood

Historians claim that ancient Siberians drank the warm blood of a newly killed bear to absorb the power of this mighty beast. By the way, in the arid regions of the planet, other peoples also drank the blood of animals, but their incentive was primarily thirst.

7. Body scents

According to the research of Professor Ashok Kumar Panda ( gee-gee , I thought my last name was funny), the main aphrodisiac of primitive people was the very smell of the human body. Well, yes, without a shower and essential oils, they had no choice but to inhale each other’s amber.

8. Horn of a rhino

The horn of a rhinoceros sticks up so cheerfully that the ancient Chinese attributed a miraculous property to it. Before making love, a small amount of crushed horn was eaten. It was believed to promote blood circulation and improve erection. Unfortunately, those who regretted to taste the horns in a desperate attempt to regain their masculine strength are still not extinct.

9. Cobra

The inhabitants of Canton (Guangzhou, China) intensified the desires of passion by eating cobra meat. However, they are not eating that much now. Have you heard about the “centenary” rotten eggs?

10. Sea cucumber

And also the ancient Chinese ate (and still eat) an inhabitant of the sea with the funny name “sea cucumber”. It’s all about the unusual shape of the creature, resembling … the male genital organ in a vigorous state.

11. Garlic

With all the horror done away, you can take a breath. The Greeks often used garlic, believing that the heat generated from it in the body inflames intimate desires. Even if we assume that garlic will replace any Viagra, there are hardly many who want to eat a couple of cloves before a romantic date. The lady will evaporate faster than fresh breath.

12. Saffron

The popular condiment has been used as a stimulant in Greece, Egypt and, of course, India. Saffron was believed to enhance endurance and clarity to the mind.

13. Carrots

Paracelsus’ postulates are still used by lovers of non-standard medicine. According to the teachings of the ancient physician, for the treatment of organs, it is necessary to use those substances that resemble these organs. It is not surprising that in order to strengthen the male “carrot” during the Renaissance, a juicy root vegetable was actively eaten. And then they had love-carrots. That’s why the rabbits are so cheerful …

14. Blue lotus

The Egyptians revered a beautiful flower – the Egyptian water lily, known to us as the lotus. Yes, readers will forgive me for nagging, but the Egyptians blinded to a heap two, albeit similar, but different types. Blue lotus flowers have been used as a powerful aphrodisiac. The lotus was one of the symbols of the goddess of fertility named Hathor. Everything is logical, because the peak of a fertile harvest could come only after the flood of the Nile, and the lotus is the flower of the Nile.

15. Orchid “naked man”

Remember the advice of Paracelsus? In particular, for the treatment of male potency, he suggested eating the roots of an Italian orchid with a wonderful nickname – “the naked man.” Take a look at the photo. It’s not even surprising that this orchid was considered an aphrodisiac. In Russia, the flower was called orchis or “yatrov flower” (yatrov – daughter-in-law) and was considered an effective love potion.
This is just a small part of all kinds of aphrodisiacs – both effective and completely useless. Different nations and at different times have used anything from food to smoking marijuana and the like. Of the currently popular stimulants, seafood is in particular demand. It is not for nothing that the term “aphrodisiac” got its name in honor of Aphrodite – the goddess of love, born from the foam of the sea. To avoid having to resort to shocking aphrodisiacs, be sure to actually apply sex-enhancing tips. I wish you happiness, love and health!
